Barrel No. 416 – Syrah and Rubin 2021

• alcohol – 14.5% vol.

• Number of bottles – 550 bottles. 

• barrel loading date / number of months of aging in the barrel - 14.06.2022 / 28 months

• Variety ratio: 60% Syrah and 40% Ruby

 The 2021 harvest is moderately rainy and especially during the grape harvest, but we manage to harvest a rich harvest, and for the red ones we pass "between the drops" in some cases, so that the grapes are in optimal ripeness. Ruby was picked earlier - on October 7, and Syrah - on October 20. The ruby starts fermentation on its own and subsequently, when the Syrah comes, after the start of fermentation, I separate from it 2 small experimental batches with a different percentage of Ruby in them. The two varieties complete fermentation together – co-fermentation. The resulting wine goes into barrels and is dense, structured, but at the same time elegant and spicy, with quite a lot of aging potential.
